Becoming the Archetype - How Great Thou Art
the Famine were basically “Embodyment 2” both in members and musical style. really brutal/ groovy deathcore. Just great to listen to.
“Consume, Devour, Repeat” by the Famine from their album The Raven and the Reaping.
been listening to this song a lot lately
“Scars of Your Disease” by The Agony Scene off their album The Darkest Red
cue the cowbell at 2:16
The Famine - “Killing for Sport” off the album The Raven and the Reaping
pretty solid death metal… it helps that it’s mostly members of the original Embodyment
Extol
Coalesce
Converge
Living Sacrifice
Zao
-these guys are the real deal
“How Could I” by the legendary (to put it simply) CYNIC! as performed by death/black metal band Aletheian from their album Dying Vine.
Two bands that I totally enjoy.
Impending Doom - “In Reverence Of” from the album Nailed. Dead. Risen.
“AMEN”
Common Yet Forbidden - “Saints O’ Saints” off the album The Struggle.
I bought this album because these guys put on an awesome show. When I listened to the CD (years ago) I was like, “It’s too fast and monotonous, and not very interesting.” back then my music had to have a lot of breakdowns and have a lot of groove. Over the past few years I’ve gotten more into thrash/ speed metal ish stuff. Long story short, I dig this album now. pretty solid speed/ thrash metal here if that’s what you’re into.
